ABOUT US
Traditions Rising is a traditional country band/duo out of Northern Alabama.
Founded in 2019 Traditions Rising consists of husband and wife duo John and Rachel Harris of Arab, AL.
They have performed all over Alabama, as well as in Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
John Harris
Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass
Guitarist, Band Leader, and Founder of Traditions Rising, is John Harris.
John has performed and toured with several gospel groups beginning at the age of 16.
He has over 30 years experience playing guitar and performing on a wide variety of stages.
John is a bassist as well and one day hopes to learn to play a Steel guitar.

Vocalist Rachel Harris joined Traditions Rising in 2020. Since her debut she has been voted “2022 Bama Country Female Artist of the Year” at the 8th Annual Alabama Music Awards.
She was nominated for two consecutive years in a row for “Traditional Female Country Vocalist of the Year” at the 8th & 9th Annual Josie Music Awards held every October at the Grand Ol Opry in Nashville, TN.
Rachel is also a songwriter and has written all of Thraditions Rsing's Original Songs.
